XL Construction appoints new president, COO | Dump Trucks Charlotte NC
XL Construction has made moves in its executive suite, promoting Marcus Staniford to president of parent firm XL Industries and John Boneso to chief operating officer, according to a Feb. 15 news release.
Staniford joined XL in 2017 and served as senior vice president of operations before taking on the role of COO in 2020. His 30-year construction career has included roles as vice president of operations at San Carlos, California-based contractor Rudolph and Sletten and vice president of project management at Seattle-based project management and cost consultant Cumming. As president, he will oversee all of XL Industries’ operating entities.
“Marcus is a strong, purpose-driven leader with great business acumen,” said CEO Richard Walker in a statement. “With a focus on leading our operating businesses, I look forward to seeing the continued growth in opportunities for our team members that we can achieve under his stewardship.”
Boneso, previously executive vice president, is stepping into Staniford’s former role as XL Construction’s COO. With more than 30 years in construction and 20 years at XL, Boneso has focused on the construction of biotech facilities and large data centers and has been integral to the development of the company's life sciences team.
Other promotions at the firm included 18-year columbus oh dump truck company vet Kevin Ng, who assumed the role of vice president of science and technology and healthcare. Former project executive Tate Chandler, who has a portfolio of over 3 million square feet of life science projects throughout Northern California, succeeded Ng as director of science and technology.
