Skanska USA has been chosen as construction manager to build a $197 million office building in Cincinnati.

Medpace, a clinical research company, is building the 562,000 sq-ft, nine-story building that will feature six-stories of office space on top of a three-floor parking garage and conference center.

Preparatory columbus oh dump truck work began in February and the project, east of downtown Cincinnati, is slated to be completed in March 2027.

"The project presents unique challenges due to the need to rearrange the existing campus footprint," says Chris Hopper, executive vice president/general manager for Skanska USA. "With the CPU building (computer processing building) moving to a new location and its current site being repurposed into a new tower, we are working on a very active campus."

Medpace is located in Madison Square, which is on roughly 30 acres, and hosts five office and retail buildings, a hotel, food hall, brewery and other amenities. The new office building will be occupied by about 1,500 Medpace workers.

“This area not only serves dump trucks columbus oh community members but also Medpace employees, who rely heavily on collaborative opportunities within their office buildings,” Hopper says. “Therefore, it is crucial to keep the offices and location operational throughout construction to ensure minimal disruption to their daily activities."
