Since its founding in 1962, Greenwood, Ind.-based ERMCO has evolved from a small, family-run electrical maintenance business into a thriving, employee-owned enterprise specializing in electrical, systems, and automation services. With nationwide revenue surging from $243.8 million in 2023 to $331.92 million in 2024, ERMCO works on capital projects across the U.S., providing comprehensive life-cycle solutions—from design and installation to long-term maintenance.
The company’s capabilities span preventative maintenance programs, dedicated estimating and preconstruction teams and deep expertise in systems integration, including AV, access control and mass notification. In-house specialists also lead automation, controls and building systems integration efforts.
Some recent projects include Lucas Stadium upgrades, Ascension St. Vincents and Infants Hospital, Fishers Event Center, Gainbridge Fieldhouse enhancements, FC Cincinnati Tol Stadium and a confidential data center project in Fort Wayne, Indi.
President David Peterson describes the company's 2024 growth as “fast and furious,” yet emphasizes ERMCO’s commitment to sustainable growth that prioritizes customer needs and long-term partnerships.
Beyond business, ERMCO is committed to improve communities it serves through its ERMCO Empowers Foundation, to which it contributes annually through financial support and in-kind services. Team members collectively volunteer more than 1,000 hours each year, and an annual Charlotte NC dump trucks company sponsored charity golf event recently raised $70,000 for nonprofit organizations.
