FHWA and NAPA release online video series on asphalt pavement principles | Dump Truck Company

The new “Asphalt Pavement Principles” online video series from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), with cooperation from the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA), highlights the innovation and collaboration that go into modern asphalt pavements.

The videos feature engineers, academics, and other industry figures discussing best practices for pavement performance.

“More than 18 billion tons of asphalt pavement mixture is in place on U.S. roads, and more than 375 million tons of new asphalt pavement mixture is placed annually as part of pavement construction, maintenance, preservation, and rehabilitation activities,” says NAPA Vice President for Engineering, Research, and Technology Dr. Richard Willis in a press release. “As these videos show, long-lasting, high-performing asphalt pavements are the result of collaborative partnerships between researchers, manufacturers, paving contractors, and agencies.”
