Parman Holdings buys Cumberland Tractor & Equipment | Dump Truck Company

Parman Holdings, an employee-owned petroleum products distributor, has purchased Cumberland Tractor & Equipment, a division of Cumberland Companies, located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Renamed Parman Tractor and Equipment (PTE), the dealer will “continue to provide the high level of service and support that the construction and agriculture customers of Cumberland Tractor & Equipment have come to expect,” says Parman Holdings.

The sales, service, parts and rental departments will remain intact, Parman says. Also intact is its product offering from New Holland Construction, New Holland Agriculture, Link-Belt, Takeuchi, Hitachi and Sakai. The division currently has 33 employees.

Charley Crichton, with more than 35 years combined service to the Parman Energy Group, will serve as president of Parman Tractor and Equipment. Colin Hockenberger will be general manager.

“The Parman name has been synonymous with premium petroleum products and reliable service in Middle Tennessee since the mid-1930s,” says the release on the purchase. “Parman Energy Group currently operates from locations in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Minnesota and continues to look for ways to evolve and grow.” According to Parman’s website, the group employs more than 200 people.

Cumberland Companies also operate Cumberland International Truck, Nashville and Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Cumberland Idealease, also in Nashville and Murfreesboro; and Cumberland Fire & Apparatus in Nashville.
