Bobcat’s new nitrogen breakers allow its compact machine lineup to tackle tough demo jobs | Dump Truck Company

Bobcat with nitrogen breaker

Bobcat has released a new lineup of nitrogen breakers with long piston stroke and minimal recoil that are compatible with all of the company’s compact excavators, compact track loaders, skid steers and mini track loaders.

The six new attachments are built to handle difficult demolition jobs, “like removing reinforced concrete slabs,” says Travis Kidder, Bobcat attachment product specialist. Here’s how the impact energy of each breaker model breaks down:

  • NB110 81 ft-lb.
  • NB140 258 ft-lb.
  • NB150 332 ft-lb.
  • NB160 479 ft-lb.
  • NB170 738 ft-lb.
  • NB180 996 ft-lb.

Bobcat says the breakers were designed for rigidity, decreased necessary maintenance and easy rebuilds. The breakers consist of “minimal internal parts, a single lower bushing and easily accessible grease ports,” the dump trucks charlotte nc says, adding that they feature a unique valve design that “lessens hydraulic pressure fluctuation, which reduces stress on the carrying equipment’s hydraulic pumps.”

Thanks to a loader X-Change mounting frame, operators and owners can quickly move a breaker from use on a compact loader to a compact excavator or vice versa.

Available tools vary by each nitrogen breaker model and include blunts, moils, chisels and nail points. An optional water nozzle kit for dust suppression is coming soon. Bobcat says customers should consult with an authorized Bobcat dealership to confirm which tools are approved for use with Bobcat nitrogen breakers and carriers.

The dump trucks charlotte nc notes that it requires the use of a special applications kit when operating a nitrogen breaker.
