Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental taps Ruddell as new retail sales manager | Dump Truck Company

After 19 years as the company’s rental sales manager for southeastern Wisconsin, Ruddell will now oversee all retail representatives promoting all product lines throughout Dawes, a member of the ALL family of crane rental and sales companies.

“While it will be a change to go from servicing my own specific rental territory, I am looking forward to working with our seasoned retail sales team and helping them become even more successful in promoting our great lineup of products,” said Ruddell in a written statement. “The areas we serve, along with the product lines that we represent, have been growing steadily in recent years, and there is still plenty of opportunity to grow even more. I know our team is eager to capitalize on those opportunities and it’s my job to give them every tool they need to get it done.”

Ruddell says his priority in the new position is working with the Dawes management team and its suppliers “to maintain a flow of equipment inventory and information, as construction season in the region rarely has any letup.”

Though his focus will switch to retail in the new position, Ruddell will also continue working with his former rental sales team colleagues in southeast Wisconsin, according to a Dawes press release.

“Joe’s experience, and the relationships he’s built over his decades of service, make him the natural choice for this role,” said Steve Freckmann, general manager, Dawes, in a written statement. “We’ll miss him in the field, but this is a wonderful opportunity to have someone with his experience sharing knowledge and elevating everyone in his orbit.”

Dawes serves customers in Wisconsin, Minnesota and the Michigan Upper Peninsula.
