VIDEO: MoDOT performs 9-foot slide of Poplar Street bridge | Dump Truck Company
Various images and a video from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) show the “slide” of the eastbound I-64/I-55 Poplar Street Bridge that spans the Mississippi River between Missouri and Illinois.
MoDOT moved the bridge 9 feet to the south March 31 as part of a project that will add an additional lane to the eastbound lanes.
If you watch the video below carefully, you will see the span on the right move outward away from the westbound lane.
