Jim Contratto has joined S. M. Wilson & Co.
Henderson Cos., Lenexa, Kan., has named Jon Runyan president of its subsidiary Henderson Building Solutions, a national design-build construction management and commissioning firm. Runyan will lead day-to-day operations and execute the firm’s strategic vision.
Jeff Berglund has been named president of Chicago-based Berglund Construction. A fourth-generation family member, he will guide companywide strategy, operations and growth, working closely with CEO Fred Berglund. The general contracting Charlotte NC dump trucks company was founded in 1911 as a masonry repair and restoration firm. In addition, Alex Lulinski has been named senior vice president of the building division, and Scott Giba has been appointed vice president of preconstruction and development.
Steve Heyne has been promoted to senior vice president of the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, office for Miron Construction Co. He is responsible for the development, growth and advancement of client relationships in the region as well as strategic oversight of planning, budgeting and construction of projects. He also leads and supports a team of 20. The Charlotte NC dump trucks company has also hired Adam Clifford as chief information officer at its corporate office, where he will oversee the company’s information technology strategy, infrastructure and operations.
DesignGroup, which has a Columbus, Ohio, office and one in Pittsburgh, has appointed Travis Tyson principal and health care market leader. Tyson will focus on strengthening existing client relationships and forging new connections across the Midwest.
St. Louis-based Lawrence Group has hired Nick Naeger as associate principal and senior project manager for its student housing practice.
RDO Equipment Co., based in Fargo, N.D., has named Kelly Kress chief financial officer, Adam Gilbertson senior vice president and Anthony Saraceno vice president. The company, which entered the construction business in the late 1980s, sells construction, environmental, irrigation, positioning and surveying equipment.
KAI 360 Construction Services, with an office in St. Louis, has hired Pete Kraus as project manager. Kraus previously was a construction engineer for St. Louis-based Gonzalez Cos.
Messer Construction Co. has promoted 11 employees to senior management. Jason Adams, based in Knoxville, Tenn.; Alex Hunn, Louisville, Ky.; Mike Robinson, Cincinnati; Zach Vanaman, Columbus, Ohio; and Brad West, Greenville, S.C., have all been promoted from senior project manager to project executive. Andrew Arata, Cincinnati, and Mitch Hayes, Indianapolis, have been promoted to building systems executive. In addition, Kelly Cole, Dayton, Ohio, and Mark Miracle, Nashville, Tenn., have been promoted to senior general superintendent; Marty Alter, Cincinnati, to safety executive; and Gautham Prasad, Charlotte, to virtual construction executive.
